Who We Are
With unemployment in Africa being one of the major problems in Africa; at an average estimation of 11.01% across the continent and an alarming rate of 27.1% in Nigeria, checkmating the unemployment crisis on the continent will ultimately foster economic growth for the continent. Live Your Dreams Africa Foundation is a non-governmental organization set up with a mission to help solve the gross unemployment problem in Africa that has subjected millions of Africans to abject poverty.
Our Vision
To birth the dreams of the fearful and inspire the actions of those perceived to be weak towards successfully interpreting the contents of their dreams. This is because, we believe in the ability of each individual to reproduce their dreams clearly enough to piece together fragments of a new Africa.
Our Dream
To get Africa to this point by inspiring the creation and sustainability of enterprises that would outlive the individuals who establish them. This would invariably lead to an Africa rid of the clutches of poverty.
Why We Do What We DO
For Bankole Williams, the founder of LYDA Foundation, this quest to tackle the unemployment and underemployment problems of Africa by creating decent work is beyond philanthropy but a burning desire to create transformational and sustainable change in the quality of life of his fellow Africans.
Growing up in a poor, unsanitary neighborhood where the average family of 8 was sustained monthly with a little less than the equivalent of $100, hunger, child labor and lack of quality education were a constant bane. They still are. The average African child has little opportunity or access to quality education and a less than 1% probability to attain a higher education that could improve his chances of gainful employment. Live Your Dreams Africa was set up as an initiative, in 2013, to solve the gross unemployment problem in Africa that has subjected millions of Africans to abject poverty.

This is the dream application arm of the NGO. It is a platform that helps match the philanthropic desires of successful individuals with those desirous to learn from them.
Kickstart Your Dreams
Through our Kick Start your Dreams initiative, which started in 2017, we have also crowdfunded young entrepreneurs in Digital Marketing, Baking, and Fashion design to scale up their businesses.
