Soni Irabor is an award winning media icon; broadcaster, advertising practitioner, media manager, communications consultant and speech trainer,
talk-show host and toastmaster of international repute. He airs one of Nigeria’s most popular Radio and TV talk-show, ‘Soni Irabor Live with a career
of over three decades spanning radio and TV broadcast and Film.
He studied Mass Communications at the University of Lagos and trained as a speech trainer with The Radio Deutsche Weller (Voice of Germany), Koln, Germany. He holds a Certificate in Leadership and Governance in Media and Communications from the School of Media and Communications, Pan Atlantic University, among others.
He is a versatile media practitioner who has handled numerous PR and Media Relations assignments. As a toast master, he has hosted numerous National and International events, including, OAU and ECOWAS Heads of Government Conferences and Corporate events.
In March 2008, Irabor hosted the prestigious NEPAD Business Forum held in Abidjan, Cote D’Ivoire . In July of the same year, he co-hosted the CNN African Journalist of The Year Award, with CNN’s Zain Verjee, where the former President of Ghana John Kufour played special Guest of Honour in Accra, Ghana.
Irabor started his broadcasting career at Radio Nigeria and rose to the position of Acting Director Marketing, after over 24 years rising from the post of Announcer/Presenter/Newsreader to Controller Presentation Trainer before he was seconded to the Marketing department and was appointed to the Advertising Standards Panel of APCON representing the Broadcasting Organizations of Nigeria, BON, 1993 to 2000. Irabor has trained over 1000 broadcasters from different parts of Nigeria and Africa.
He his currently the Chairman of Ruyi Communications Ltd, an integrated marketing communications company. He is also a Director at Sonia Publications Ltd, publishers of Genevieve Magazine and recently retired as the CEO of Amazing Inspirations Media Ltd, the number one Family Radio Station, 92.3 Inspiration FM in Lagos and Inspiration 100.5FM, Ibadan. Irabor still presents his award winning talk show, Soni Irabor Live on InspirationFM 92.3.
Bolanle Austen-Peters is a Nigerian lawyer, consultant, businesswoman and the first Nigerian woman to build a private theatre in Nigeria. She attended the
International School, Ibadan and the University of Lagos for her undergraduate studies and earned a Master’s degree in International Law from the London
School of Economics and Political Science.
She started off at her father's law firm, and later proceeded to work as a Lawyer with United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, New York, Ethiopia and Namibia. She returned to Nigeria in 2001 as a Consultant to UNDP, Lagos.
Afterwards, she worked as a Consultant to the Ford Foundation Lagos and helped raise millions of dollars for the Museum through Arts and Business Council.
In 2003, she founded Terra Kulture, a Nigerian arts, education and cultural organisation.
She raised the bar in the theatre industry with the creation of Bolanle Austen-Peters Productions, the producers of SARO the Musical, a production which enjoyed numerous accolades and reviews from international media houses including the BBC and SKY News and has since produced five additional plays.
In 2015, she commenced the production of the film 93 Days; a movie on the Ebola epidemic which attacked the country in 2013, and was released in 2016.
Bolanle also gives lectures on entrepreneurship and has won many local and international awards.
Bolanle is married to Dr. Adegboyega Austen-Peters, and they are blessed with children.
Ebuka Obi-Uchendu is a Nigerian lawyer, media personality and host of the recently concluded Big Brother Naija.
He had his secondary education at Christ the King College Abuja before getting his university education at the University of Abuja. He proceeded to the Nigerian Law School Bwari, Abuja and then returned to school after a 5-year working gap, graduating in December 2010 from the Washington College of Law of the American University Washington DC, with Masters of Law degree specializations in Intellectual Property as well as Communications Law from the Law and Government program.
Ebuka was a housemate in the maiden edition of Big brother Nigeria, held in Lagos in 2006, where he was evicted at the 8th position. The way was paved for him after the competition to sign endorsement deals with some major brands and as such, he hosted Friend or Foe on NTA, the GLO Show, also on NTA, as well as Guinness’ Greatness TV. In January 2017, he was announced as the host of the new Big Brother Naija season.
In the run up to the 2011 general elections in Nigeria, he hosted the first ever presidential debate focused on youth issues, which was broadcast live across Nigeria. He also freelances as an MC for events. He has gone on to be a contributor to several online publications including the Y! FrontPage on the youth oriented YNaija, general lifestyle inclined 360Nobs, Breaking Times which deals mostly with current affairs, and StyleVitae a fashion and style portal.
Ebuka also maintained a weekly column called Contrast with ThisDay Newspaper for about 4 years and has written for other publications including What’s New & Ace Magazines. In 2013, he was announced the new host of Rubbin' Minds on Channels Television, a show he still anchors till date.
He was nominated in the On-Air Personality category of The Future Awards for 2007 and 2008 consecutively. As well as Outstanding TV Presenter of the Year (Male) at the Nigerian Broadcaster's Merit Awards in 2013, 2014 and 2015 which he won. In 2011, he was selected as a Global Shaper - an exclusive group of young emerging leaders across the world - with the World Economic Forum.
In 2013, he was honoured by the Federal Government as one of the Best 100 Young Nigerians in one of the events to mark Nigeria's 100th anniversary as a union. On February 27th 2016, Ebuka was awarded the Outstanding Male TV presenter at the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards, in recognition of his great work on Rubbin’ Minds.
Ebuka is married with a child.
